The 2013 AIA Kentucky Scholarship and AIA East Kentucky Chapter Scholarship (both supported by matching grant funds from AIA National) were presented to Ben Ward of Lexington. Ben will be recognized during the UK College of Design Scholarship Luncheon on October 25, 2013.
Ben Ward is a student of Architecture currently pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Kentucky/College of Design in Lexington, Kentucky. He received a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Kentucky in 2013. He has performed externships with several Lexington architecture firms, including Tate Hill Jacobs, Brandstetter Caroll and Sherman Carter Barnhart, as well as at Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles, California. In addition, he has assisted numerous professors in the production and fabrication of their professional work, including Rives Rash (UK), Mike McKay (UK) and Thomas Kelley (UIC) and seeks to become a professor of Architecture himself in the future.
