“Managing Healthcare Construction: “Interior Healing Environments”

Working within existing healthcare environments requires special skills in order to avoid disruption to the 24/7 function as well as avoiding endangering patients and staff. This seminar will focus on interior renovation of healthcare facilities and methods to improve this construction process. Attendees will hear presentations that discuss the following topics/continuing education objectives:

1. How to select materials and finishes to achieve code compliance (flame spread rating), maintenance dura-bility, and infection control standards.

2. Methods to facilitate patient and staff safety during renovation projects.

3. Strategies for team collaboration which result in suc-cessful project implementation

4. Specific techniques that create a healing and hospita-ble environment through interior aesthetics
